Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

ChurnDetective is a service operated by UGS LTD ("we", "us"). For privacy questions and requests, contact privacy@churndetective.app.

2. Two roles: your data and our data

For the customer data you upload, you are the data controller and we act as your data processor, processing it only on your instructions. A Data Processing Agreement is available — see the DPA page. For your account data (such as your email address) and website usage data, we are the controller and describe that below.

3. What we collect

• Account data: your email address and a password hash, or your Google sign-in identifier.
• Uploaded customer data: the file you upload, which must contain only customer_id, mrr and joined_at. We ask you not to include other personal data.
• Usage events: first-party product events such as page views and clicks, stored in our own database with no IP address, no device fingerprinting and no third-party advertising cookies.
• Support messages: the content of chat and email messages you send to us.

4. What we do not collect

• We do not store IP addresses in our event data.
• We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
• We do not sell your data and we do not share it for third-party marketing.

5. Why we process it (legal bases)

We process account and uploaded data to perform our contract with you; usage events for our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and improving it; and support messages to answer you. Where consent is required, you can withdraw it at any time.

6. Retention

Datasets have a retention period of 90 days by default and a scheduled job removes expired datasets automatically. Support messages are kept as long as needed to handle your case. You can request earlier deletion at any time using the address below.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, export and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Exercise your rights by emailing privacy@churndetective.app. We respond to verified requests within the time required by applicable law.

8. Export and deletion

To receive a copy of your data or to have it deleted, email privacy@churndetective.app. Deletion requests are confirmed by email once completed.

9. Sub-processors and transfers

We use a small set of service providers (for example hosting, payments and email delivery) to run the service. They act on our instructions. Where data is transferred outside your region, we use appropriate safeguards. A current sub-processor list is available on request.

10. Security

Uploaded customer data is encrypted at rest, access is restricted, and we minimise the personal data we hold. See the DPA page for technical and organisational measures.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the date at the top of this page.
